The Rue du Cherche-Midi is one of Paris's premier shopping streets, with a wonderful selection of shoe shops in particular, as well as the famous Poilâne bakery, whose traditional breads are made in wood burning ovens. There is no shortage of good restaurants either. If you prefer to cook, a farmer's market, one block down on the boulevard Raspail, provides fresh produce three times weekly (on Sundays the market sells organic produce only). There is a taxi stand within 30 yards of the building, and three major metro lines within a 3 minute walk.
This property to rent in Paris is in a late 18th century building, accessed by a cobblestone courtyard, planted with trees, then two flights of stairs (no lift). The rooms overlook the courtyard and the interior design bears testament to the owner's search over many years in flea markets, antique fairs and brocantes throughout France to find appropriate decorative and architectural elements to restore the apartment.
