This three-bedroom apartment is situated on the first floor of an 18th century ‘hôtel particulier’ on Ile St. Louis. Originally the town house for a noble family, the building is a classified historic monument. Entrance to the building is via an attractive paved courtyard with plants. A short flight of steps lead up to the front door, raising the height of the floors and thus allowing for wonderful views of the Seine and the Left Bank. The accommodation is quiet, sunny and very well located for shopping and restaurants, as well as art galleries, a pharmacy, several mini-markets and the post office. The Louvre, the Pompidou Centre, the Sainte Chapelle, the Left Bank and the Marais are all within an easy walk.

With elegant furnishings, exposed ceiling beams, cut stone flooring and antique furniture, the interiors combine the charm of ‘le Grand Siècle’ with modern comforts. The living room has been restored in the style of the Louis XVI era and features the original sculpted wall panels, large Louis XVI mirror, deeply inset bookcases, chandelier and parquet floors. There is a dining area with antique round table and chairs, and tall leaded glass windows provide light and a beautiful view of the Seine. The superb master bedroom, also on this floor, has a Louis XV style bureau, a marble fireplace, surmounted by a mirror and wall panel with painted landscape. Entrance hall. Living room. Large kitchen with dark wood panelling, delft-style tiles and view onto a small garden. Equipment includes dishwasher, small breakfast dining table, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave and coffee machine. The Master bedroom has a King sized bed with an adjoining dressing room. There is an en-suite bathroom as well, with bathtub, shower fixture, wash basin, lit mirror, toiletries and WC. The second master bedroom also has a king size bed (convertible into two twin beds ) with a second bathroom with shower, washbasin, toiletries and WC. The third smaller Loft bedroom offers a double bed and there is plenty of head room here. You can close it off from the rest of the apartments with the heavy drapes provided for this purpose.

Important Information

Most properties require a refundable security deposit against damages. For this apartment, an imprint of your credit card will be taken on arrival. Arrival at the apartments is normally from mid-afternoon, and departure must be by 10 a.m. This is to allow for cleaning between rentals if there are other guests departing/arriving on your arrival/departure day. If you are arriving/departing outside these times, please check with us if it is possible to arrive/leave the apartment earlier/later. If you require an airport or rail station transfer to your apartment, please ask us to quote for this. We are also happy to quote for any extra services you require during your stay, including maid service, cook, local tours etc. Most apartments have a no smoking and no pets policy, so please check this with us.
