The impressive Villa Borgo Bernardini, dates back to before the 1700s, and was originally the hunting lodge retreat of Count Cosimo Bernardini of Lucca. It is situated on a family run estate, ten kilometres south of Lucca, with magnificent views over hill terraced olive groves. It is the largest and grandest of six villas available to rent on this huge estate, offering the highest levels of luxury, comfort and services as individual rentals for holidays for families or groups of friends. Alternatively, if rented together, they can provide suitable accommodation for conferences, as well as weddings and other special celebrations. Linen change is included twice per week (Saturday and Tuesday or Wednesday). A gardener looks after the grounds and swimming pool maintenance. Additional maid service and a chef can be arranged on request.

The 12 individually styled double bedrooms all have individually controlled air conditioning/heating, a central music system and telephone. There are several lounges including a domed music room, a sun lounge with library, and a formal living room with satellite TV/DVD, which has doors leading out to the ornamental pond and fountains. There is Banquet hall, card and billiard room, and wine tasting room with a private selection of Tuscan wines, as well as a fully equipped Tuscan kitchen. There is also a fitness room, equipped with cardiovascular and weight equipment. Further amenities include a centralized music system, computer facilities, wireless internet access and a surveillance system.

Within the Italian gardens (2000m2) with gazebo, there is a large salt water swimming pool (16 x 8m) which is floodlit at night. Meals can be taken al fresco in a genuine Italian piazza or beside age-old fountains and ornamental ponds. There are two additional one bedroom apartments which can provide accommodation for a further four people, on request.
